The area known as Bella Vista, Italian for “Beautiful Sight” goes from South of South Street to Washington Avenue; and from 6th Street to 11th Street and is the heart of the Italian American community with the 9th Street open air market, cafes and many, many restaurants both old and new this area is a mix of both residential and independent stores.

Although this neighborhood has advanced with the times, it has retained its history and flavor of the landing spot of many Italian immigrants that followed the American dream settling in the City of Brotherly Love.

Bella Vista is also known as another major Philadelphia area for the arts, is home to the Fleischer Art Memorial and host to many local concerts, galleries and shows throughout the year, such as the Italian Market Festival and the Bella Vista Spring and Fall Arts Festival.
